FIRST TIME USERS:
New students looking to register for an EMT Initial Education Course must create a new account, see ACCOUNT CREATION below. After creating and logging into your account, select the link "EMT Initial Standard Certification" and complete the application. Questions regarding a specific course should be directed to the Course Coordinator for that course.

If you have NEVER applied for or held any level of EMS certification in New Jersey, please click the link on the far left lower corner entitled ``Create New EMS Account`` and follow the instructions. You only need to create an account ONCE. Please be sure to record your EMS ID number and password in order to access your account in the future!
YOU SHALL ONLY USE YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME WHEN CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT, DO NOT USE ABBREVIATIONS OR NICKNAMES. YOUR ACCOUNT MUST REFLECT THE SAME NAME AS YOUR GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID.
REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATION CARDS:
If you are in need of a replacement card, please send an email to email@example.com "Replacement Card" in the subject line. Be sure to include your EMS ID number, name, telephone number and reason for requesting the replacement card. You will receive confirmation by email when your request has been processed. All certification cards are delivered via USPS mail and usually arrive within 7-10 business days.
Address Changes or Profile Updates: Can be completed by logging into your account and going to the PROFILE tab. Once this has been completed you will have met your regulatory requirement to notify OEMS of these changes.
NAME CHANGES: If you need to make a change to your legal name you may submit a fax to 609-633-7954 with the supporting documents such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Court Order, Divorce Decree and/or current Drivers License. You may also scan these documents and attach to an email addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org with NAME CHANGE in the subject line. Be sure to include your EMS ID number and your current contact information when making your request. Once your request has been processed you will receive an email to confirm as well as an updated certification card via usps mail.
RE-ENTRY CANDIDATES and INITIAL CHALLENGE CANDIDATES:
If you are a Re-entry Candidate and/or an Initial Challenge Candidate, have successfully completed refresher requirements and wish to schedule an examination, please send an email to email@example.com with "Exam Registration" in the subject line. Include the exam date you wish to attend. Requests to schedule an exam must be received at least two weeks before the scheduled exam date. Exam dates can be found in the “Course and Exam Catalog” tab above. It is strongly suggested that you provide at least one alternative exam date. Once your exam has been scheduled you will receive a confirmation email. BEFORE YOU CAN REQUEST AN EXAM DATE REFRESHER COURSES (A,B and C) MUST BE MARKED "SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE" IN YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

Request for VERIFICATION LETTERS (Letters of Good Standing): Please submit all letters with a self addressed envelope to DOH/ OEMS Attn: Verification Letters PO Box 360 Trenton, NJ 08625. You must allow 3-6 weeks for processing. All letters will be processed in the order that they are received. If a self addressed stamped envelope is not included, the letter will NOT be processed. If the receiving state agency accepts a fax/ emailed copy you may submit a request to email@example.com with "Verifcation Letter" in the subject line, be sure to include the point of contact of the state agency, their email or fax number in your request, along with your EMS ID number and contact information. There are several states that are already accepting emailed verifications, which include several regional councils in Pennsylvania, the NY OEMS as well as the NJ Physicians Assistant Advisory Committee.
Class schedules are posted based on the submission of course sponsors. If you are looking for a class during a particular time period or with a specific sponsor, we suggest that you contact the program sponsor directly. This site posts a list of approved programs, and is updated regularly. To register for a class, first you must login to your account, then click the link at the far left ``Class and Exam Schedules``, find a suitable class in the Class Schedule and click the ``Register`` link. You will only be able to register for one class at a time. So, if you change your mind about a class, please click white ``Registrations`` button on your account menu bar in order to UNREGISTER the class registration.
Please be advised that the trancripts for Intial EMT Education, Refresher Courses, Exam Attempts and Elective courses taken before January 1, 2012 will reside on the www.njoemscert.com website. To view your transcripts, find and register for elective courses, please visit the NJOEMSCERT.COM website. Your log-in information for that site has not been changed. The www.njems.us website will only contain registrations and transcripts for EMT-Initial Education Courses, the 24 Hour Integrated Refreshers and Exams taken after January 1, 2012.
