| When to Create an Account
If you have ever applied for or held any NJ EMS certification, you already have an account. Please login with your EMS ID number and password. If you can’t remember your login info, contact OEMS Helpdesk for assistance. Do NOT create a new account.
If you have NEVER applied for or held any NJ EMS certification, you can create an account today. Use your Full Legal Name (no abbreviations or nicknames) -- your account must be created using the same name as your government-issued ID. Record your EMS ID number and password so that you can access your account in future!
Registering for a Class or Exam
Class schedules are posted based on the submission of course sponsors. If you are looking for a class during a particular time period or with a specific sponsor, contact the program sponsor directly.

Accessing Your Transcripts
Manage your certification and re-certification process, access transcripts and registrations for Initial EMT Education, Refresher Courses, and Exam Attempts taken after Jan. 1, 2012, and verify EMS credentials right here in the NJEMS Certification platform.
To access transcripts for Initial EMT Education, Refresher Courses, Exam Attempts, and Elective courses taken before Jan. 1, 2012, visit www.njoemscert.com. Elective courses continue to be available at www.njoemscert.com, and your login credentials for that site haven’t changed.
Replacement Certification Cards
OEMS does not issue replacement cards for Address Changes. To meet your regulatory requirement to notify OEMS of changes to your address and contact information, log in on this site, click the Profile tab, and enter and save your changes.
To change your legal name, send your request and supporting documents to OEMS (fax to 609-633-7954, or email to email@example.com with subject line "Name Change"). Acceptable supporting documents include as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Court Order, Divorce Decree and/or current Driver`s License. Include your EMS ID number and your current contact information in your request. You will receive a confirmation email when your request has been processed, and an updated certification card will be sent to you via USPS mail.
If you need a replacement card for any other reason, email firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line "Replacement Card," and tell us your EMS ID number, name, telephone number, and the reason you need a replacement card. You will receive a confirmation email when your request has been processed. All certification cards are delivered via USPS mail and usually arrive within 7-10 business days.
Re-Entry Candidates and Initial Challenge Candidates
When you have successfully completed refresher requirements (Refresher Courses A, B, and C must be marked "Successfully Completed" in your Transcript), you can register for an exam by emailing email@example.com with subject line "Exam Registration" and telling us your EMS ID, your name, and the exam date(s) you wish to attend.
Requests to schedule an exam must be received at least two weeks before the scheduled exam date. Exam dates can be found in the “Course and Exam Catalog” tab above. It is strongly suggested that you provide at least one alternative exam date. Once your exam has been scheduled you will receive a confirmation email.

Request Verification Letters (Letters of Good Standing)

Letters are processed in the order received, and processing usually takes 3-6 weeks. If you do not provide a self-addressed stamped envelope or your request is incomplete, your letter(s) will NOT be processed.
If the receiving state agency accepts faxed/emailed copies, you may submit your request by emailing email@example.com with subject line "Verification Letter" and telling us the point of contact of for the receiving state agency, their email or fax number, and your EMS ID number and contact information. Emailed or faxed letters are already accepted by some states, including several regional councils in Pennsylvania, the NY OEMS, and the NJ Physicians Assistant Advisory Committee. Faxed or emailed verification letters will only be sent to an authorized state or local certifying agency.
